SICK! CARS is a new project exploring complex and challenging questions about masculinity. The project will create 2 ‘vinyl-wrapped’ cars. Each one will be covered with graphic stories and poetry, representing the experiences and thoughts of young men on topics such as violence, fatherhood, sex, money and mental health.

The cars will be presented at a series of public events and exhibitions around Manchester as part of SICK! Festival in May 2022.

Developed and delivered by leading visual artists and poets, participants will take part in a short series of workshops. The content of the workshops will be used to create the vinyl wrap designs for the cars.

No previous experience of poetry or visual art is required and participants receive £200 for engaging in the project.
