Slate Discussion: Close the Light – Mon 22 Jul, HOME Manchester

HOME, Manchester
Mon 22 Jul
5 – 8pm

An evening of storytelling and sharing about Black* womanhood focusing on mother/daughter relationships.

Writer and Director Lwimbo Kunda is working on a theatre project called Close the Light. Close the Light will explore the role and impact that physical touch has in mother/daughter relationships. Inspired by a social media post that said “Black Mother’s don’t hug their Black daughters” Lwimbo wants to see how much truth there is to this and how culture might affect mother/daughter relationships.

The evening is an informal discussion and sharing with drinks and food provided.

To RSVP, email Slate Enabler Adam Lowe – adam@eclipsetheatre.org.uk by Thur 18 Jul. If you have any access or dietary requirements, please let Eclipse know.
