Corinne Sweet looks at how to cope with stress and lead a successful writing life

Writing can be a risky and stressful business. So what can you do to increase your focus and productivity? How can you combat procrastination and continual rewriting? How can you deal with all life’s stresses, so that you can get down to it and finish?

This event will focus on all the stressful issues we face as writers and suggest some tips for relaxing and succeeding. It will be led by humanistic psychotherapist, executive life coach and WGGB member Corinne Sweet, who has been a playwright, journalist, broadcaster, book writer and screenwriter.

Corinne was an agony aunt for years, appeared on Big Brother as a psychologist and was a reporter on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. She has written for most women’s magazines and many newspapers. She’s also presented on TalkSport, LBC, and is a regular talking head on national radio and BBC Breakfast TV.

Corinne has written 25 (mainly nonfiction) books. Her books in lockdown are 2 Minutes to Confidence, 2 Minutes to Peace and 2 Minutes to Sleep (Quercus). The Mindfulness Journal and The Anxiety Journal (Pan MacMillan) and Change Your Life with CBT (Pearsons) are international bestsellers.
