Free residencies at the beautiful Hawkwood in Gloucestershire for Global Majority artists. Hawkwood is a beautiful 19th century house surrounded by acres of woodlands, farmlands and gardens in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Criteria
- Global Majority artists*
- Professional companies/artists who make contemporary performance (theatre, spoken word, dance etc)
- Companies/artists who feel that Strike A Light’s 7 principles are a good fit with your own ethos, values and way of working and are interested in working with communities or in a co-created way
- They are particularly interested in hearing from artists who identify as LGBTQ+, working class, Disabled, neurodiverse or those with a long term/chronic health condition
- An opportunity to be away from the demands of everyday life to focus on your creative practice. You could be rehearsing a show, developing something new or just using the time and space to test ideas.
*Global majority definition: applicants from Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, Indigenous, Native American, Hawaiian, Hispanic/Latinx or Mixed-Race backgrounds.
