Take your imagination to the frontiers of digital storytelling with TalentLab XR, a four-week online mentoring & development programme May-June 2021.
Leading industry professionals will introduce you to a ton of tools and techniques used for Extended Reality, to lift your stories into new worlds. From writing interactive narratives and building 3D worlds to UX design and holograms, they’ll help you to transform your ideas.
You don’t need any prior training in XR – they are looking for creativity and ingenuity over technical knowhow.
Criteria
- Up to 12 emerging Black, Asian and multicultural artists who want to use XR in novel and interesting ways to tell their story.
- Applicants should already have an idea for a creative project or story that XR could amplify.
Deadline
30 April 2021, 13:00 GMT. Please be prepared to submit a short biography, a personal statement, and examples of your work (such as a showreel).
10th May: Selected applicants will be informed that they have a place on the programme. We regret that we cannot provide individual feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
17th May—14th June: TalentLab XR programme run. All applicants should be prepared and available to participate in this timeframe.
The programme will take place online to allow for social distancing. If lockdown restrictions ease, we’ll review if it’s safe to meet in person.
