The Albany Call Out- Open Source Collaborations

Applications are now open for Open Source Collaborations, a project that links artists who work with audiovisual mediums with mentors who have the experience and equipment necessary to bring a creative project to life. Successful applicants will be matched with someone from our pool of artists and facilitators who will not only give you advice, but will help you take your ideas to the next level through both critical and collaborative discussion. Remote work has never been more possible, and engaging the creative brain when so much of our previous lives are off limits is an unquestionably positive act. Those selected will receive 1-1 consultations with their collaborator via Zoom calls and attend four collective workshops over four weeks alongside the other selected artists and mentors.

All created works will be around three-five minutes long, and will be given a platform on The Albany and Foreign Body Productions’ online channels, as well as being shown at a virtual streaming event on the 22nd December.

The fundamental goal of this project is to provide a space for artists to make work with like minded people, and to form new artistic communities – the scope can be as broad as you want it to be.

They will accept and develop;

  • Short film concepts
  • Music Videos
  • Radio plays
  • Musical Compositions / Songs
  • Sound Design Pieces
  • Video Essays
  • Poetry / Spoken Word Pieces

Applicants must be over 18 years old

Deadline

2pm on Tuesday 10th November.

Applicants will be contacted by Monday 16th November.
