The Envelope Room in association with Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland are delighted to host a new workshop to combine the creative talents of stage designers and playwrights by bringing the two together for a day of exploration.
Over a day, you will work with facilitator Nicholas Bone (Artistic Director, Magnetic North Theatre Company) exploring the process of developing new work and discovering new ways playwrights and designers can collaborate directly. This is a practical workshop with opportunities to work directly with each other to generate and develop ideas.
Each participant will receive a fee of £150. Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland and The Envelope Room can cover travel from within Scotland.
Eligibility
- There is space for four stage designers and four playwrights.
- This workshop would be particularly suited to designers who have created at least four professional productions and for playwrights who have worked professionally with a stage designer.
Deadline:
12pm on Monday 20th May 2019
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their submission no later than Monday 27th May 2019.
