The National Writing Centre

The National Writing Centre run a series of face-to-face workshops and courses throughout the year. They offer practical help to writers of all genres and career stages; to kick-start your creativity, refine work in progress and explore the skills needed for success in the writing world today.
All workshops and courses operate out of their base at the medieval Dragon Hall, a building with a fascinating past dating back to the 15th century. Our glass gallery and enclosed garden courtyard make for an inspiring place to write, surrounded by Norwich’s rich literary history.

If you’re unable to make it to Norwich, they also run a selection of online courses.

Bursaries

The workshops are intended for anyone who enjoys creative writing, regardless of their income or background. If you are a UK resident and unable to book a place on a workshop, inspiration day or agent insights session without financial help, they encourage you to apply for one of the bursary places which are based on financial need – not writing ability.
