The Royal Court Theatre are now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Introduction to Playwriting Groups. This is an opportunity for writers with little or no experience and lots of raw talent to think more deeply about writing for theatre alongside a group of their peers, guided by an experienced, produced playwright.

Each group runs for eight weeks with sessions usually taking place in the evening. There will be three groups (the first starting in autumn 2022 and the other two taking place in early 2023) one of which will be hosted online. Priority for this group will be given to those who would prefer this option in order to access the group most fully.

There is no fee to take part and applicants must be aged 18 or over and based in the UK or Ireland.
