The Unspoken Project makes theatre with disabled and non disabled people, especially those with communication difficulties. They are inviting UK based writers who use Augmentative and Alternative methods of communication to submit new writing for the stage.

Guidelines

They are looking for 5-10 minute pieces on the themes of:

• the social and medical models of disability
• ‘cures’
• therapy
• disabled identities
• disability politics.

  *The Social Model is when disability is seen as a social construct, and it is society being so inaccessible that causes disability. The Medical Model is when finding a ‘cure’ for disability is the main focus to blend in with non disabled
