The Windows Project Writing Advice Desk- free feedback and advice

The Windows Project is a unique writing organisation based in Liverpool. Since 1976 they have developed games-based writing workshops for use in community and educational settings. They also work in partnership with University of Liverpool and Liverpool Hope University. Their role in encouraging and mentoring emerging writers includes a regular Writing Advice Desk in Liverpool libraries for over thirty years.

This virtual version of The Writing Advice Desk will run until the end of October 2020, to provide free feedback and advice from experienced published writers on scripts, novels and poetry. It will also offer information on self-publishing, script writing, poetry magazines and pamphlet publishers.

Submit up to 6 double-spaced pages of script, story or novel; or up to 6 poems (with up to a total of 180 lines in all), for FREE feedback and advice from experienced published writers.

Please include:

  • A short paragraph of biography or background details, including how long you have been writing and any publishing track record, details of courses or workshops attended, if applicable.
  • A brief outline of what you want to get out of the consultation, or any questions you may have.
  • They expect to deal with 6 submissions per week on a first-come, first served basis. Any additional submissions will be held over until the following week. They aim to respond within three working days.
  • Please note each consultation/feedback is a one-off and no further correspondence will be entered into thereafter.
