INK is welcoming new short scripts for stage and radio from writers aged 25 and under for the 2021 INK Festival.

Writers must be based in the UK or have links with East Anglia.

There are multiple categories including New Short Play, Theme Play, Radio Play and Under 18. One script submission limit per writer.

Chosen scripts will be produced professionally and performed multiple times at The 7th INK Festival in April 2021. A selection of plays will also tour.

Audio recordings and filming will be planned if the need arises.

Deadline:

August 27th 2020.

Categories 

NEW SHORT PLAY
For Stage or Radio

• Scripts must be 30 minutes or less
• For Stage or Radio
• No more than 2 actors

COUNTY LINES – NEW SHORT PLAY
For Stage

• Scripts must be 30 minutes or less
• For Stage
• The Title: County Lines.
• No more than 4 actors.

THEME PLAY
For Radio

• Scripts must be 10 minutes or less
• For Radio
• To include the words: Take Two
• No more than 4 actors selected from: 1 Male 50 +; 1 Female 50+; 1 Male 20-40; Female 20-40

NEW SHORT PLAY
For stage or radio that positively explores Black, Asian or Ethnic Minority Groups’ Culture

• Scripts must be 30 minutes or less
• For Stage or Radio

RADIO PLAY

• Scripts must be 15 minutes or less
• For Radio

YOUNG WRITER U18
For Stage or Radio

• Writers must be 18 or under on September 1st
• For Stage or Radio
• Scripts must be 10 minutes or less
• The Title: The Space Between
• Include no more than 3 actors (who could play multiple roles)
