Wax Lyrical is a FREE 6-week project for 16-25s not in education, employment or training. Collaborate with young creatives and a professional team of writers, directors and performers to develop a show for a Roundhouse stage. Explore and build confidence with WORDS, SOUNDS and MOVEMENT for a public performance that will also be part of Last Word Festival 2020.

No experience required but an interest in writing and performance is important. Wax Lyrical is for creative 16-25 year-olds not currently in education, employment or training. Lunch & travel expenses are provided, they can also help with childcare costs.

THE COURSE INCLUDES

• Writing, movement, performance and promotion skills, taught by industry professionals and artists
• Collaborate, create and perform with a talented group of young artists on a Roundhouse Stage
• Opportunities to see live shows at the Roundhouse
• The chance to work towards a Bronze Arts Award
• Advice and support around your next steps into education, employment or, training

10th March – 16th April (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) 2020
Sessions run 10am – 4.30pm + evening performances on 16th April and 27th May
Celebration lunch/evaluation: Tuesday 21st April
Post project sessions: Wednesdays 29th April, 6th, 12th & 20th May,
Extra rehearsal dates for festival: 25th and 26th May
