Grey Castle Productions and The Leeds Playhouse are partnering to launch a new Open Call Writers Workshop as part of the R&D of the Tony Craze Shortlisted play: Two Tribes. Directed by the queer trailblazer and icon, Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE, Two Tribes is currently undergoing it’s R&D at The Leeds Playhouse and Theatre Royal Stratford East.

For Two Tribes’ R&D, they are opening up the rehearsal room! The aim: To include as many new creatives as we can, foster growth for the project and create a hub for development; hence this call.

This is a fun, FREE, practical workshop for these autumn months to empower and encourage LGBTQIA+, Global Majority & Working Class creatives to write a short play.

This workshop is for complete novices, to emerging creatives, from seasoned professionals who want to drink from the well and for those who just need some inspiration; all are welcome. This is a safe space to explore telling your stories. Bring your passions and your pen, and award-winning playwright/screenwriter/director Rikki will bring the tough love and fire to inspire your breakthrough! Tell new stories, find your voice.
