The Performers Course is a fully funded intensive course in the Summer for young British East Asians*(16+). There will be classes in voice, movement, clowning, improvisation and devising.

With all the recent changes to our lives, they have decided to innovate the framework of the Performers Academy Manchester. Instead of the one-week course, they will host weekly online classes starting Tuesday 12 May until Thursday 9 July. On Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July

The course will be led by performance artist Stacy Makishi alongside sessions in voice, movement and clowning and weekly lunchtime Q and A’s on a range of topics with industry professionals.

So if you are of East Asian/Southeast Asian descent and based in the North West, then please apply!

No acting experience required, just be prepared to connect, be curious and have fun!

• Deadline of applications Tuesday 5 May at noon
• Meet and Greet online Thursday 7 May 4-5pm
• Course runs online Tuesday 12 May – Thursday 9 July
• Every Tuesday 10am-12pm and every Thursday 5-7pm plus additional talks with industry professionals over lunch on Tuesdays 12.30-1.30pm
• In person sessions Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July with a sharing at the end (dependent on government guidelines).
