Since the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting began 10 years ago, in 2005, there have been 17 winning playwrights and 16 critically acclaimed productions across 28 UK-wide venues.  Over 150,000 people have seen a Bruntwood Prize winning play.

Every great play was a new play once and the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting enables the Royal Exchange Theatre, in partnership with a wide range of other producing venues, to support, produce and celebrate new writing.

As we mark a decade of the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting, it is fantastic to look back and celebrate the winning scripts and writers from the last 10 years, and reflect on the far-reaching legacy of the Prize.
